Size guide

Getting Your Box Dimensions Right

Every box we make is built to your dimensions, so the measurement is the specification. This guide shows how to measure, how much clearance to add, and what tolerance to expect from each board.

Method

How to Measure Correctly

Packaging dimensions are always written Length × Width × Height, measured on the inside of the box.

LengthThe longest dimension of the opening, front to back on the box face.
WidthThe shorter dimension of the opening, measured side to side.
HeightThe depth from the base to the top opening.
Internal, not externalQuote internal dimensions. We add board thickness ourselves.

How we size your packaging

  1. 1

    Measure the product

Measure the widest, deepest and tallest points of the product itself — not its label.

  2. 2

    Add clearance

Add 1–2 mm per side for folding cartons, 3–5 mm where an insert or wrap is involved.

  3. 3

    Choose the style

Pick the structure that fits the use case: tuck end for retail, roll end for shipping, rigid for gifting.

  4. 4

    Prototype it

We produce a physical white sample so you can test fit and drop before committing to production.
