Terms and Conditions

The commercial terms behind every quote and order: how pricing works, what proof approval commits you to, the tolerances that apply to custom manufacturing, and how claims are handled.

Custom packaging is manufactured to order, so these terms cover the things that matter in a made-to-order relationship — quotes, proofs, tolerances, turnaround and remedies. They apply unless we have signed a separate supply agreement with you.

01

Scope of these terms

These terms apply to every quote, order and delivery of custom-manufactured packaging placed with us, unless we have signed a separate supply agreement with you.

Placing an order, or approving a proof, means you accept these terms on behalf of your business.

02

Quotes and pricing

Because every box is made to order, prices are quoted per project rather than listed. Quotes are valid for 30 days and assume the specification, quantity and artwork stated on the quote.

Changes to dimensions, board, finishing, quantity or delivery terms will change the price. We reissue a quote rather than adjust an invoice after the fact.

  • Quotes exclude taxes and duties unless stated
  • Tooling and plate charges are itemised separately
  • Volume breaks apply per design, not per combined order
03

Artwork and proof approval

You are responsible for the accuracy and legality of the content you supply, including trademarks, claims, ingredient statements and barcodes.

Production begins only after you approve the digital proof in writing. Approval fixes the artwork: errors present in an approved proof cannot be reprinted at our cost.

04

Production tolerances

Custom manufacturing carries accepted industry tolerances. Delivered quantity may vary by up to 5% above or below the ordered quantity, and you are invoiced for the quantity delivered.

Dimensional tolerance is up to 1/16 in on folding cartons and 1/8 in on corrugated. Color is matched to the approved proof within commercially reasonable tolerance; slight variation between print runs is normal.

05

Turnaround and delivery

Stated production times are business days beginning the day after proof approval and exclude transit. Transit estimates are provided by the carrier and are not guarantees.

Risk passes to you on delivery. Title passes when the invoice is paid in full.

06

Payment terms

New accounts are prepaid in full. Approved accounts may be offered net terms in writing. Late balances may accrue interest at the maximum rate permitted by law.

We may pause production on an account with an overdue balance without that pause counting against a quoted turnaround.

07

Changes and cancellation

You can change or cancel free of charge at any point before proof approval. After approval, cancellation is charged for materials consumed, tooling produced and press time committed.

Once printing has started, an order cannot be cancelled because the product is unique to you and cannot be resold.

08

Claims and remedies

Inspect your delivery on arrival and report shortages, transit damage or manufacturing defects within 5 business days with photographs.

Where a verified defect is our fault, our remedy is to reprint the affected quantity or credit it. Our total liability for any order is limited to the amount invoiced for that order, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss such as lost sales.

09

Intellectual property

You keep all rights in the artwork and brand assets you supply, and you grant us a limited licence to reproduce them to fulfil your order.

Dielines, structural designs and 3D mockups we create remain ours, and are licensed to you for use with the packaging we manufacture.

10

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, and the courts of that state have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute.

If any provision is found unenforceable, the remainder continues in force.
